CALL FOR PAPERS

General Principles

The Journal of Industrial Research and Technology is an International Journal published by the Federal Institute of Industrial Research, Oshodi. It aims to encourage active research in Industrial Science and Technology.

Manuscripts Requirements

Manuscripts written in English should be typed on one side of A4 paper, 3cm on the left and 2.5cm right margins and double line spacing. Manuscripts should be submitted in electronic and  paper form  in triplicate.
A letter of undertaking signed by the principal author must be attached, stating that the submitted paper is not under consideration in part or in full for publication in any other journal. All manuscripts received will be acknowledged.
Manuscripts should be divided into distinct sections as follows:  Title, Abstract, Keywords, Introduction, Materials and Method(s), Results and Discussion,  Conclusion,  Acknowledgment, Tables, References.

Title:  The title must be descriptive and explanatory. If there is more than one author, indicate to whom correspondence should be addressed. A brief autobiographical note about the corresponding author should be supplied including full name, affiliation, e-mail,  and  contact address.  
Authors must supply an abstract of not more than 200 words with keywords which encapsulate the principal subjects covered by the article.

Headings must be short, clearly defined and not numbered. 

Illustrations and Figures:  Figures, charts and diagrams should be provided both electronically and as good quality originals.  They must be black and white with minimum shading and numbered consecutively using Arabic numerals, e.g. Fig.1.  Artwork should be in a Microsoft Word document. Tables must also be numbered in Arabic numerals with a brief title. It should be kept to a minimum.

References
References to other publication should be in Harvard style. Use author/date citation method e.g.  (Smith, 2000).
At the end of the article, a reference list in alphabetical order must be given as follows:
For books:  surname, initials, (year), title, publisher, place of publication, e.g. Smith, M. (2000).  Importance of Information and Communication Technologies, Macmillan, London.

For journals:  surname, initials, (year), “Fiber concentrates from apple pomace and citrus peel as potential fibre sources for food enrichment”. Food Chemistry, Vol.2 No.2, 29-33.

Submission of Manuscript/Correspondence
All manuscripts will be reviewed by two or more referees to ensure accuracy and relevance.  Once accepted for publication, the final version of the manuscript must be provided electronically and in paper form. 
Authors whose papers have been accepted for publication will be notified in writing.

Copies of Journals
Each corresponding author is entitled to a full copy of the published journal in which his article appears. Other  author(s) can order for reprints and extra full copies of the issue.
